Title: Firmware Engineer 4

Contract

Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)

Pay Range: $75-93/hr. on W2


Job Qualifications:

  • Must have 3+ years' experience with C++ proficiency is absolutely necessary.
  • Must have Some familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets is required.
  • Must have Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry experience, in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • Must have 8-10 years' experience required.
  • Strong C/C++ software development experience.
  • Experience working on high volume consumer products.
  • Experience with Headset or communication device.
  • Should have experience in the development of firmware to support acoustic solutions built around headset microphones and speakers.
  • Noise cancellation exp is nice to have
  • Noise reduction exp is nice to have
  • Adaptive algorithms exp is nice to have
  • Experience developing a headset is preferred


Job Responsibilities:

  • Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects.
  • Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data.
  • Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications.
  • Implement system software and customize to client requirements.
  • Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans.
  • Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing.
  • Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs.
  • Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation.
  • Provide quality assurance reviews.
  • Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing.


Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with audio products is highly valued.
  • 3+ years experience with Qualcomm chipsets is desired.
  • Experience with Qualcomm audio chipsets and tools.
  • Should have experience in the development of firmware to support acoustic solutions built around headset microphones and speakers.
  • Test development experience with Audio Precision or dScope III.
  • Acoustic test experience using B&K head and shoulder simulator or similar.
  • DSP development experience.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Large systems software design and development experience.
  • Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems.
  • Experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution.
