Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Kuiper MAC-SW team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded firmware code for our customer terminals and satellites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Kuiper-MAC firmware components/drivers in a real-time embedded environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance requirements and make optimization tradeoffs
  • Build and debug firmware components/testcases in the Kuiper embedded environment
  • Profile and execute code on RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded environments
  • Contribute to defining services and functionalities delivered by firmware subsystems
  • Define, document, test, and debug firmware-HW interfaces
  • Familiarity with software/firmware best practices, such as clean architecture and refactoring

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 4+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years' experience in embedded FW development
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or related degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
