The Jr. HR Generalist is an entry level position based in our corporate headquarters in Westbury, NY that assists the HR Manager in the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including Onboarding/Offboarding and Human Resources Information Management.


Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and offboard employees in ADP Workforce Now in accordance with HR protocols;
  • Update all HR systems and files to reflect personnel changes;
  • Assist employees in using the HR systems (how-to, logins, password change)
  • Assist with requests for statutory benefits and leaves of absence (FMLA, Disability, Paid Family Leave, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment);
  • Assist with requests for employment verification;
  • Coordinate requests for changes related to employee benefits (retirement distributions, enrollments, drops, COBRA);
  • Track / follow up with employees regarding training, licenses;
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Recruiting and Operations teams regarding HR matters;
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion related to all HR confidential information;
  • Escalate employee relations and compliance matters appropriately.


Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required. Experience in an HR role in the security or similar industry will be considered in lieu of a college degree.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems.


Compensation: Starting at $23.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
