Responsibilities:

  • The Network Qualification lab needs a Systems Engineer to manage lab operations and provide technical support.
  • The Systems Engineer Candidate provides technical advice to company personnel.
  • This position also requires superior customer service skills, which include communication, collaboration, follow-through and proactive problem solving, resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • The Systems Engineer duties and tasks are standard with some variation.
  • The ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
  • He/She should display understanding of roles, processes, and procedures.
  • Normally this position will receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • This position performs moderately complex problem solving with some assistance and guidance.
  • The Systems Engineer should complete their own tasks, primarily, independently within defined polices and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Requires 1-3 years experience in a technical support environment.
  • Attainment of one or more IT related certifications.
  • Working knowledge of PC/laptop hardware architecture.
  • Working knowledge of DOS/Windows suite and LAN composition.
  • LAN experience with Ethernet technology (10base2, 10baseT, 100baseT), Protocol experience including TCPIP, IPX/SPX, NetBios, and experience with dial-up technologies.
