Video Production Manager

As the Video Production Manager at TargetMarket, you will oversee the production of all photography and video projects. You will lead all pre-production including set design, art direction and ensuring all preparatory elements align with our strategic vision. Your role will be crucial in managing both our network of talented freelancers and our internal video production team to ensure efficient and effective execution of projects, utilizing their skill set to create brilliant content, matching briefs and brand guidelines. Your responsibilities will extend to budget management, project timelines, location and talent sourcing, and overall project management and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Direct the pre-production process, including concept development, storyboarding, and script analysis.
  • Oversee art direction and set design, ensuring consistency and alignment with project objectives.
  • Create and manage the agency's internal video production strategy, coordinating both sales and marketing efforts for video-related services.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring all production activities remain within financial constraints.
  • Coordinate project management activities, including scheduling travel and resource allocation.
  • Manage and expand our network of freelancers, as well as lead our internal video production team.
  • Scout and secure ideal locations and talent, coordinating with external agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards, securing all necessary filming permits and rights when necessary.
  • Evaluate potential risks associated with projects, implementing preventative strategies.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in video production technology.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Film, Media Production, Art Direction, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in video production, with a strong focus on pre-production and team/resource management.
  • Demonstrable expertise in technical and creative aspects of video production.
  • Leadership experience, particularly in managing diverse teams and external contributors.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC, in particular Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and/or other software is beneficial.
