Role Overview:

Are you ready to make an impact in a dynamic energy environment? In this 4 month contract role, you'll be at the heart of our client's operations, overseeing well and system monitoring, surveillance, and regulatory testing using cutting-edge real-time data and digital tools. You'll be responsible for daily monitoring across a range of metrics (e.g., riser and well FF, DP, Temp, sand, annulus pressure, produced water, FIV, etc.), ensuring everything stays within set limits, while performing surveillance and daily allocation as the Operations PE.

Your role will extend to supporting both onshore and offshore well operations, working within well operating guidelines. You'll harness system modeling and optimization to uncover and drive short- and medium-term production enhancement opportunities. Engage in well and reservoir reviews, and use, update, and validate PetEx (Prosper, etc.) models to optimize system production and ensure accurate daily allocation. You'll also execute, validate, and interpret surveillance data, collaborating with the subsurface team to inform our Surveillance and Depletion plans.

With a keen eye on daily well performance, you'll issue short-term production forecasts and document any production shortfalls in our management system. Utilize Root Cause Failure Analysis techniques to embed learnings within the team and coordinate well intervention activities from start to finish.

You will play a key role in identifying and managing well risks, understanding and documenting the associated surveillance, barriers, and mitigation measures. Your clear communication and operational instructions will guide our offshore team, and you'll integrate seamlessly with the Projects, Wells, and Subsurface teams for field development.

Other key responsibilities include ensuring Operations Technical Assurance for the full field, issuing well operating guidelines, supporting daily production optimization, assessing well and reservoir performance deviations, and identifying options to eliminate future losses and reduce downtime/production losses. You'll also support new well startups and subsea interventions, providing technical coaching to build team competencies.
