Location: Newton, MA

Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM


We are currently looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Test Fixtures & Solidworks) to join the Endovascular Robotics medical device division, which is the first FDA-cleared medical device to bring robotic-assisted precision to neurovascular, percutaneous coronary, and peripheral interventions.

  • The Senior Electro Mechanical Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next-generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare.
  • You will be a highly visible technical resource working on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • There will be direct involvement from prototype to verification builds and testing within a regulated medical device development environment.
  • This role is suited for an R&D engineer with experience in developing electromechanical fixtures, authoring documentation, establishing verification tests, and assisting with electromechanical issue resolution.
  • Support identification of, specification creation for, development, and characterization of manufacturing in-line test and build fixtures
  • Identify improvement points in the electromechanical assembly build process
  • Develop electromechanical fixtures to support the development of complex medical robotics system


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of work experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environment
  • Bachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a close field is required
  • Experience in heavily regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace is required
  • Must have hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems
  • Previous experience in design transfer/new product introduction desired
  • Demonstrated CAD proficiency highly desired. Solidworks preferred.
  • Experience using, modifying, and programming in MATLAB, Simulink or LabView is highly desired
  • Experience developing firmware/software code/applications is highly desired
  • Must have experience in cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership
  • Must have experience in project management including task timeline estimation and work breakdown structures
  • Outstanding documentation and communication skills required
  • Proficiency in using MS Office required
