GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Planning coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the sales team as well as producing advertising for HMM. As a Sales Planning coordinator, he/she primarily manages weekly, daily and monthly reports. They will also produce creative copy for advertisements and promotional items. As a marketing coordinator, he/she act as backup for all other Marketing responsibilities in Sales & Marketing team. Marketing coordinator may have to handle bid coordinator responsibilities as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Creation and distribution of weekly reports.
  • Update North America Sales Sheet on a monthly basis.
  • Update PIERS market assessment report on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with Bi-Weekly Meeting Material Setup & Creation.
  • Use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create Advertising copy and marketing materials.
  • Plan yearly advertising budget and manage negotiations with vendors.
  • Management of HMM’s social media pages.
  • Assist and act as backup for all other Marketing activities, including event preparation and planning, and supporting sales staff with inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Candidate should be able to handle multiple projects at a time.
  • Should have a high level of proficiency in the following: Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Have strong organizational skills, be detailed-oriented, and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to self-motivate with little supervision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player and willing to adapt to new tasks and projects.
  • Be able to create solutions for issues that occur throughout the day.
  • Capable of working both in team environment and on solo projects.
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to meet deadlines for multiple projects at once.
  • Must also be able to take input from multiple offices and combine it into one response for customers.
  • Computer literacy is required. Knowledge of how online advertising functions is highly desirable.
  • Candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills as the position works with management, sales, and customers


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Requires 3 years’ related experience
  • Preferred 2-3 years shipping/logistics experience
