This role is crucial for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing robust database systems that support the organization’s needs.


Position Summary: The Onsite FileMaker Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing database systems using FileMaker to meet the organizational needs. This position requires the developer to work onsite at the company headquarters and cannot be performed remotely. Certified FileMaker Developer certification is highly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom FileMaker database solutions to support various organizational functions.
  • Implement and optimize database systems to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective database designs.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity and security of database systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure efficient use of FileMaker solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database systems, including design specifications, user guides, and technical manuals.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in FileMaker technology and best practices.
  • Participate in project planning and management to ensure timely and successful completion of database projects.
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to integrate FileMaker solutions with other systems and applications as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a FileMaker Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing FileMaker database systems.
  • Certified FileMaker Developer certification is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in gathering and translating requirements into effective database designs.
  • Familiarity with integrating FileMaker solutions with other systems and applications.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation industry is not required but can be a plus.
