ERP Business Analyst - Epicor


DETAILS

Location: Remote but must be able travel to Peoria, IL for major milestones.

Position Type: Direct-Hire

Compensation: up to $120,000 based on experience

Residency Requirements: MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder to be considered, as no sponsorship is being offered at this time.


As an Epicor Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing internal and customer requirements, translating these needs into detailed specifications, and crafting effective solutions. You will oversee the manufacturing aspects of all Epicor projects, ensuring strategic planning, scalable solutions, and adherence to best practices across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, departmental managers, and technical teams to gather specific needs and understand pain points.
  • Epicor Process Expertise: Utilize your strong knowledge of Epicor to support manufacturing processes and work directly with business users.
  • Requirements Documentation: Capture and document business and customer requirements, including scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Feature Validation: Prioritize and validate features and functionality based on a deep understanding of Epicor (versions 9-11).
  • User Acceptance Testing: Direct the User Acceptance Testing process, validate desired business functionality, and create test scripts as needed.
  • Solution Architecture: Design solution architecture based on discovery sessions, collaborating with cross-functional business teams to resolve complex issues using advanced Epicor functionality.
  • Continuous Improvement: Address questions from users and stakeholders about manufacturing modules in Epicor, and work with technical teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrations and Training: Present demonstrations of POCs, Epicor modules, SOPs, and End User Procedures. Thoroughly demonstrate Epicor features and functionality with process workflow diagrams and presentations.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor for internal team members, exemplifying professionalism and expertise.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with team leads and solution architects to build project plans and roadmaps, identifying new scope or changes and explaining the impact analysis.
  • System Maintenance: Conduct regular system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epicor ERP Experience: 5-7 years of experience working with Epicor ERP in a manufacturing setting.
  • Project Management Experience: Experience in Agile, SAFe, or Traditional Waterfall methodologies.
  • Technical Expertise: Background in software development or solution architecture.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with EDI, SQL, Crystal Reports, and other reporting tools. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Metals Industry Experience: Experience working with metals such as steel, aluminum, gold, silver, etc.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration through leadership and communication.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to solve advanced manufacturing challenges.
  • Training Development: Experience developing training documents and facilitating instructor-led training sessions.
  • Mentorship Skills: Ability to leverage mentorship skills to assist the team in increasing internal knowledge base.
  • Technical Tools: Experience with PeopleSoft, Salesforce, EDI, SQL Server, C# development, and Epicor BPMs is a plus.
  • AS400 Business Processes: Experience with JD Edwards, Avantis, Prism, etc.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Epicor Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of Epicor Production modules, including Job Management, Engineering, MRP, Scheduling, BAQs, and Quality Assurance.
  • Education and Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience focused on business analysis, a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and quantitative skills, with the ability to draw actionable insights from raw data.
  • Collaboration Focus: Strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service.
  • Diplomatic Effectiveness: Effectiveness in working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
