Job Description  


This position is for the servicing of new and existing insurance accounts; it also requires sales involvement such as assisting producers in preparing insurance quotes for both new and renewal policies. The role of a Commercial Lines Account Manager requires accurate and courteous service to our clients, team members, and all company personnel. Each Account Manager shall grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible. 

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities  

Directly responsible for the daily service requirements of Commercial Lines, including, but not limited to:  

  • Preparing applications, proposals, and quotes for current commercial producers 
  • Binding and finalizing coverages with clients 
  • Reviewing and processing applications, renewals, policies, and endorsements 
  • Maintaining files in an online client management system 
  • Monitoring past-due accounts and contacting clients and/or producers, as needed  
  • Assisting in gathering and/or providing information necessary to issue policies 
  • Keeping producers informed of important activities regarding their clients 
  • Keeping client records, spreadsheets, and summaries up to date  
  • Stay up to date on insurance underwriting criteria, rates, forms, and coverage changes via bulletins, trade publications, seminars, and offered training.  
  • Completing other essential functions, as assigned 


Qualifications 

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills in:   

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and take initiative 
  • Strong teamwork mentality and willingness to collaborate  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills 
  • Reasoning Skills - able to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, spreadsheet, or schedule form 
  • Computer skills - in Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat

Physical Demands
