FirstFour is assisting a worldwide engineering, construction, and project management company with their need for a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer for a 4 to 7-year project, the design/build of a one-of-a-kind facility in Southeast WA.


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Designing the facility's fluid and gas systems
  • Preparing technical reports, studies, and design documentation calculations using engineering software, and specifications for complex mechanical equipment
  • Collect the process, safety, and other requirements for the fluid process or support systems design, and specify the equipment to meet applicable requirements.
  • Coordinates with the engineering group and other disciplines in developing the detailed system design and specifying equipment in a team environment.
  • Prepares reports and studies in resolving open technical issues related to the process systems.




Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME-NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000.
  • Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development
  • Fluid system design
  • Hydraulic
  • Heat transfer
  • Thermodynamic calculations
  • Equipment specification and design development
  • Experience with Waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities


Preferred:

  • Professional registration in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering.
