Our Northwestern Mutual firm in Melville is looking for individuals to join our team of financial professionals. COMPENSATION:

This is a commission based role. However, in the first year we provide new advisors with "start-up" compensation to help make your transition easier. Since this role is based solely on your performance, it allows you to control what want to earn at any given time in your career.


To give you an idea, our financial professionals are making on average about $90-110k in their first year, with the potential to make upwards of $150k in year one. Our advisors 5+ years in the business are earning an average of $624k.


What is the catch? The first years can be tough as you’re learning the business. But the trade-off is that you get to define what success looks like.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Don't have a background in Finance? That is ok 83% of our advisors have no prior finance background Our Advisors receive in-depth, nationally ranked training and support and partner with industry experts until you are ready to do it on your own.


We want people with different backgrounds and work experience, including but not limited to: sales, business development, hospitality, banking and finance, marketing, management, educators, athletes, attorneys, communications, real estate, entrepreneurs, military veterans, and community influencers.


We hope you have a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a four-year college or university. It is also a plus if you have strong interpersonal skills, grit, motivation, and you are a self-starter.
