Controller (7991)

The role involves the complete management of the accounting operations, ensuring the financial records’ integrity. The position includes leading an accounting team, managing all accounting procedures, ERP system’s accounting features, and daily financial dealings. The role demands a broad range of business insights, including analysis of manufacturing operations, budgeting, financial forecasting, managing mergers and acquisitions, and expertise in banking and treasury functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and uphold systems and controls that verify the accuracy of all financial data.
  • Adhere to established accounting standards.
  • Manage the accounting team (comprising three individuals) to ensure precise and prompt documentation of fiscal activities.
  • Generate financial reports that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Spearhead collaboration with external auditors for all financial audits and tax-related issues.
  • Administer daily financial operations, collaborating with banking institutions and internal stakeholders to refine cash flow strategies.
  • Engage in special assignments as necessitated by organizational needs.
  • Partner with production management to advance cost-accounting processes.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities, including integration efforts.
  • Manage third-party payroll billing, tax filings in coordination with the payroll service provider, and provide support for payroll processing.
  • Comply with all legal guidelines, company policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • 8 + years of solid experience in both general and cost accounting. - CPA preferred
  • Prior involvement in a production setting is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrates a high ethical standard and excels in fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Previous leadership roles are beneficial; adept at nurturing a cohesive and efficient team dynamic.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting operations within an ERP system framework.
  • Proficient in the principles of GAAP.
  • Skilled in managing the ledger and executing month-end and year-end financial procedures.
  • Exceptional analytical skills are essential. Must maintain professional and amiable communication with colleagues and superiors.
  • Expertise in MS Excel, including the use of Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • A keen eye for precision and meticulousness in all tasks.
