Job Description:

As a Java Technical Architect with POS expertise, you will play a key role in designing, architecting, and implementing our Point of Sale (POS) solutions using Java technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define technical architectures, and deliver high-quality POS solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design and architecture of our Point of Sale (POS) solutions, leveraging Java technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and specifications.
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance POS applications using Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other relevant technologies.
  • Architect and implement integrations between POS systems and backend systems such as ERP, CRM, inventory management, and payment gateways.
  • Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and transactions for efficient data storage and retrieval in POS applications.
  • Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide technical guidance to ensure the quality and consistency of code across the POS development team.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in POS systems and Java development, and recommend enhancements to our POS solutions.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to develop and implement test strategies, automated tests, and performance benchmarks for POS applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • years of experience as a Java developer, with a focus on architecting and developing POS solutions.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Java programming language, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), Hibernate, and other Java EE technologies.
  • Experience with POS systems and related technologies such as hardware interfaces, barcode scanners, card readers, and payment processing.
  • Experience with POS integrations with backend systems such as ERP, CRM, and payment gateways.
  • Proficiency in database design and SQL programming, with experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and design scalable and efficient technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
