As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in our new apartment community's successful lease-up and ongoing management. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving occupancy rates, and providing exceptional customer service to our residents. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lease-Up Management: Lead the leasing efforts to achieve full occupancy, utilizing innovative marketing strategies and outreach programs.
  • Property Operations: Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and resident relations.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract prospective residents, including digital marketing, social media, and community events.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to determine competitive rental rates and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and motivate a dedicated team of leasing consultants, maintenance technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders, move-ins, make-ready units, and maintenance requests.
  • Lease Renewals: Oversee the lease renewal process, negotiate lease terms, and implement strategies to maximize resident retention.
  • Property Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
  • Financial Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, prepare budgets, and analyze financial performance.
  • Resident Relations: Resolve resident concerns promptly and maintain a positive community atmosphere.


Qualifications:


Required:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with RealPage: 1 year
  • Lease-up experience: 2 years
  • Property management experience: 2 years
  • Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

Preferred:

  • Post-secondary education in business or property management
  • Knowledge of property management software (e.g., Onesite, Yardi, RealPage, Knock, RentCafe, Resman)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office products
  • Proficiency in Internet, email, and social media for community marketing
