GL Staffing is seeking a Process Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to join our client's team.

Our client is a recognized Pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Tamarac, Fl.

The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert with primary responsibility for engineering support to the process equipment processes utilized. The Process Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and systems.

The Process Equipment Maintenance Supervisor participates in designing, selecting, developing, and installing manufacturing equipment and systems, contributes to the Safety Program, and is a member of the Emergency Response Team. Performs documentation as required to record maintenance and repair activities and to support Document Control, Change Control, and Validation activities.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

  • Supports the mechanical and electrical/controls aspects for installation, start-up, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and systems, and modification of existing equipment and systems. Develops relevant SOPs.
  • Manages the process equipment maintenance (preventative and breakdown) ensuring minimum downtime. Monitors performance of equipment, machines, and tools. Provides input regarding anticipated spare part requirements.
  • Team member for problem solving to resolve production and quality issues. Assists with investigations. Works collaboratively to correct issues that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
  • Provides support to ensure safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and economical design, implementation, and operation of manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Participates in selection and development of equipment and systems for new processes and products and ensures that these are fully functional when transferred to manufacturing. Ensures that equipment and systems are developed and implemented in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Provides designs and support for process improvement teams and capital projects.
  • Works collaboratively with Manufacturing, Validation, Technical Services, R&D, and other internal staff; interacts with suppliers and contractors as required.
  • Develops test procedures, analyzes data, and presents findings in written reports.
  • Provides QA Support for Audits and Inspections.
  • Understands and complies with SOPs, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Remains current with developments in technologies related to manufacturing of pharmaceutical and dietary supplements, environmental controls, etc.
  • Promotes safe operating and working procedures. Ensures that safety devices, equipment and personal protective equipment are being used as required.
  • Participates in the Safety Program to evaluate manufacturing aspects of safety, responsible as a member of Emergency Response Team under the Emergency Response Plan. Promotes safe operating and working procedures.
  • Other duties as required or directed.

  • Responsible for participation in internal plant audits.
  • Participates in cross-training in QA and QC areas of responsibility.
  • Promotes safe operating and working procedures. Ensures that safety devices, equipment and personal protective equipment are used as required.
  • Provides support for process improvement teams and capital projects
