Release Train Engineer

Job Summary:
The Release Train Engineer (RTE) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our software products and services. The Release Train Engineer is responsible for facilitating and leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Program Increment execution within the organization, enabling teams to work collaboratively and deliver value to customers. The Release Train Engineer ensures planning readiness in strategic alignment and organizational readiness for planning, leadership and team preparedness, and manages the logistics for events.
General Responsibilities:
· Drive the Agile transformation journey within the organization by promoting Agile principles and practices.
· Lead and facilitate PI (Program Increment) planning events, ensuring alignment of objectives, priorities, and dependencies across teams and stakeholders.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement among Agile teams, Product owners, and Scrum Masters.
· Identify and mitigate risks, impediments, and issues that could impact the successful delivery of PI objectives.
· Champion the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework SAFe) and encourage teams to reflect on their performance and make improvements.
· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress of PI objectives and help the organization to make data-driven decisions.
· Facilitate effective communication and coordination among teams, stakeholders, and leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
· Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure that customer needs are met.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to Agile teams, Product Owners, and Scum masters to enhance their understanding of Agile practices and principles.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
· SAFe certification preferred, SAFe RTE certification is a plus.
· 5+ years of proven experience as an RTE or in a similar Agile leadership role.
· Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
· Experience with Agile project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asure DevOps).
· Demonstrated history of problem solving, critical thinking, and delivering results within time constraints.
· Familiarity with the staffing industry preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
