Job Summary:

Polar Semiconductor seeks a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain its compute systems and networks. This role requires collaboration with a team to provide robust, secure, and highly available services in a world-class semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor server operating systems and hardware, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

• Collaborate with the cyber security team to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, maintaining a highly secure compute environment.

• Participate in on-call rotations, providing timely and effective support for critical company infrastructure issues.

• Utilize PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasks, improving productivity and efficiency.

• Respond to critical infrastructure issues, resolving problems promptly and professionally.

• Upgrade systems with new releases and models, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.

• Develop and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies, ensuring business continuity and data protection.

• Prepare and compile detailed metrics and reports for management consumption, providing valuable insights into system performance and security.

• Manage hardware and software lifecycles, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing waste.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Proven experience managing server hardware with industry-standard tools (HPSIM/Kace).

• Expertise in PowerShell/Python/Power Automate scripting, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux and Windows systems administration, with a focus on security and scalability.

• Expertise in Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Storage Array Management (Hitachi/NetApp), with a focus on high-performance storage solutions.

• Solid cloud experience, with expertise in Azure/Intune/Entra and other cloud platforms.

• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clear and concise communication of complex technical concepts.

• Detailed understanding of core network services (AD/DNS/DHCP), with a focus on security and scalability.

• Demonstrated knowledge of network and server security, with a focus on threat detection and mitigation.

• Working knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity concepts and practices, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

• Expertise in Oracle and SQL Db management, with a focus on data protection and security.

• Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), with a focus on scalability and efficiency.

• Expert knowledge in identity management (Active Directory/Azure AD (Entra)/Group Policy), with a focus on security and access control.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on resolving complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Working Conditions:

This role is a hybrid remote position, with 3 days per week spent in the office.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.

• 10 or more years' work experience as a System Engineer or related position.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teams from multiple departments to facilitate the execution of project plans.
