Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role as a Speech and Language Pathologist serving a school located in Anchorage, AK.


Qualified Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are also encouraged to apply.


The Speech and Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with communication disorders. The role also includes participating in IEP meetings, writing reports, case management duties, supervising SLPAs and monitoring students' progress.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
  • State Licensure as a SLP
  • National License: ASHA
  • Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
  • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
  • CF-SLP placement may be available
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience working with children required
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in use of technology
  • Fingerprint background clearance
  • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

If applicable, working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities.
