Role Description

Dedicated and results-driven professional with a proven track record in project management, process optimization, and database management. A leader with effective communication skills and the ability to streamline and organize procedures to improve efficiency and create savings. Must have above average computer skills, proficient with Excel, and experience with QuickBooks or another accounting software is a plus.

 

Business Management / Human Resources:

  • Train and support staff on general processes and procedures.
  • Oversee and implement payroll, retirement or pension plans, insurance policies including property, liability, workers compensation and all general state and county government compliance related inquiries.
  • Contract negotiation, maintenance, set-up, and assignment of all office equipment (copiers, telephones, computers, network, key systems, credit cards, postage meter).

 

Database Management:

  • Security and access set-up for all users.
  • Maintain processes and procedures, training, reporting.
  • Responsible for all database set-up needed to accomplish above.

 

Financial Management:

  • Work with the Lead Pastor, Elder Board, Finance Team, and appropriate banking contacts to maintain a system of controls through reporting, monitoring, establishing procedures and training to ensure consistent and accurate reporting keeping our income and expenses in line with the goals of the church.
  • Collaborate with the bookkeeper to establish procedures that help maintain accurate A/P and A/R records.
  • Directly assist the Lead Pastor and Elders with budget preparation, including review of departmental submissions as well as annual report creation and banquet planning

 

Position Information:

  • 30 hours per week
  • Sick & personal days available
  • Position reports to the Lead Pastor
