Role Description

The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall direction and daily operation of the clinical program based on State licensing and Joint Commission standards, Clinical Policies and Procedures; and to act on behalf of the Agency to create a program that is best in class. This position will supervise staff therapists and provide individual and/or group psychotherapy as needed, daily program scheduling, case management and family interaction as indicated. They maintain a thorough clinical record for each assigned client as well as provide clinical supervision, training/mentoring/coaching and direction to our direct care team. This position is also responsible for overseeing the documentation process submitted to our billing provider.


Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Related Field Required. LMHC or LCSW required.
  • 5+ Years of providing clinical services required
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity preferred
  • 1+ year in a supervisory role required


Essential Job Functions

  • Ensures that all DCF and JC standards for the facility are followed and provides immediate action plans when a deficiency is identified so that it is addressed in a timely manner. Provides these findings to the CEO and Director of Operations for collaboration and direction. Ensure compliance with all other standards that may apply to our industry and ethical treatment.
  • Review, edit and implement Clinical Policies and Procedures. Ensures that all policies and procedures related to the facility are being adhered to. Trains and mentors performance and adherence to these polices and provides appropriate correction if not followed.
  • Provides individual psychotherapy and case management to a small case load as needed and within licensure.
  • Ensures that Clinical programming is in line with all standards. Takes a continuous improvement approach with the curriculum and develops a best in class program focused on positive outcome measures. Works with IPN and PRN to navigate the Healthcare Professional program and it's reporting features. Reviews Clinical Documentation of all staff and routinely audits for compliance and to maximize UR capability. Complete monthly QA/PI reports and address any deficiencies found. Complete performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Directs all program schedules and activities of the program. Is the program manager for all client related treatment, curriculum, activities, and overall progress and compliance clinically.
  • Provides employee training as required by regulatory standards; conducts program management, strategic planning, client and family relations and communications. Performs other functions at the direction of administration.
  • Performance/competency management, clinical supervision, coaching and development. This position is responsible for the performance/production of the clinical and direct care teams through daily supervision, ongoing training, and performance reviews.
