Lunova is conducting a search for a highly qualified Director of Finance on behalf of our manufacturing client in Havre de Grace, MD. This pivotal role is crucial for overseeing and optimizing the financial operations within a dynamic and growing organization. About the Role:

The Director of Finance will enhance financial asset returns by developing robust financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems. This role ensures all accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions comply with legal and regulatory standards. We seek a candidate with strong financial and accounting expertise who can strategize at a high-level while being detail-oriented and hands-on when needed.


Director of Finance Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely and accurate budget analysis and financial insights to the management team.
  • Suggests and creates policies, procedures, and systems to achieve company goals.
  • Analyzes profitability for products, customers, and channels.
  • Offers proactive advice on improving profitability.
  • Identifies and evaluates new business opportunities and investments to improve company profits.
  • Sets up financial reporting systems and controls to ensure adherence to company policies and customer requirements.
  • Forecasts cash flow and optimizes working capital.
  • Improves bank and deposit relationships and implements strategies for enhancement.
  • Leads and develops the finance team to support company initiatives.


Director of Finance Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or related discipline, required.
  • 5+ years proven leadership experience in finance and accounting management ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Ambitious, driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
