Reston, United States MetroStar Full time

At MetroStar, we don’t just deliver technology solutions—we redefine possibilities. We’re trailblazers driving innovation in the government sector, tackling the toughest challenges with bold thinking and cutting-edge technology. Our mission? To empower our nation, to achieve more, faster, and with greater impact.

Here, your career isn’t just a job; it’s a journey. A journey where every day presents new opportunities to push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and be part of something bigger. We’re not just shaping the future; we’re creating it. And we’re looking for a passionate, driven Executive Agility Lead. Join us, and let’s make history together.

About the Executive Agility Lead:

Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming how our leadership team thinks and operates? As the Executive Agility Lead at MetroStar, you won’t just be a part of the change—you’ll drive it. In this role, you’ll be the catalyst that propels our executive team towards a future where agility isn’t just a buzzword, but a way of life. You’ll work hand-in-hand with senior leaders, crafting strategies that break down barriers, accelerate decision-making, and ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Agility:

    • Understands the broader business strategy swiftly and translates it into actionable plans for the executive team.
    • Aligns the goals of various departments to ensure cohesive and agile execution.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Facilitates communication and collaboration across the executive team, breaking down silos and ensuring transparency.
    • Manages cross-departmental projects and initiatives, keeping them on track and aligned with company objectives.

  • Execution Mastery:

    • Utilizes broad project management skills (agile methodologies) to drive swift and efficient execution of strategic initiatives.
    • Focuses on accountability, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities, and that deliverables are met on time.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Commits to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the executive team, regularly assessing processes and making necessary adjustments.
    • Encourages innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex problems and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving tech-enabled environment (AI/ML, DevSecOps, Application Modernization) across Government.

  • Leadership and Influence:

    • Possesses strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence without direct authority, aligning all executives towards common goals.
    • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and effectively navigates and unifies big leadership personalities with confidence and empathy

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in agile development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with agile teams
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, with a proven track record of successful agile implementation
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and consultative skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at the highest levels of an organization
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver effective solutions
  • Certifications: Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Program Consultant)
  • Work Location: This position is 5 days per week in our Reston, VA office
