A Controls Hardware Engineer job in Indianapolis, IN 46241 is currently available at Belcan supporting one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, and 1 to 3 years of experience in design engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating design-to-specification engine controls equipment, such as pneumatic valves, engine sensors, filters, and pumps, into the engine subsystems.

Job duties:

· Develop component requirements documents, interface control documents, and validation & verification documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.

· Responsible for ensuring that the component provides its intended function.

· Responsible for the quality of supplier technical products and inputs to project schedule.

· Responsible for controls equipment test procedures and results.

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline.

· 1 to 3 years experience in system, subsystem, or component design in related industries.

· Experience reading drawings and schematics.

· Experience with RTCA/DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.

· Experience in a structured regulatory environment with advanced quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent.

· Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Systems Engineering experience or certification.

· Project Management experience or certification.

· IBM Rational DOORS experience.

· Siemens Teamcenter experience.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $68,000 to $74,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
