We’re Hiring Our key client in clinical robotics is looking for additional members for their team. We have a Technical Writer III Infrastructure on the team.


Pay Rate: $75.00/hour on W2

Work Type: Hybrid – In-Office 3 days in a week

Location: Santa Clara, CA 95051

Duration: 7-month contract (with possible extension)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, writes, edits, and maintains Field Service documentation (i.e., Field Service procedures and technical bulletins) for medical device systems.
  • Complete documentation control steps to release final documentation including Change Orders in the documentation control system.
  • Informs and adheres to policies, procedures, and quality documents.
  • Collaborates with project team members to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Uses skills as an experienced technical communication professional with an understanding of industry best practices and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Evaluate, recommend, or develop documentation processes and productivity aids.
  • Assist with the development of an internal writing style guide.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of technical writing experience in a hardware or engineering environment, including documentation for various technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering sciences, professional writing, or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong writing and grammar skills in areas of content development by using a minimalist, topic-based writing style.
  • Analytical ability to swiftly grasp and effectively communicate complex scientific and engineering concepts for intended audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to participate in project discussions and manage deliverables for multiple projects under tight deadlines, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of mechanical/hardware concepts and complex devices.
  • Previous experience with medical devices is preferred.
  • Experience with DITA XML authoring tools but PTC Arbortext Editor or IXIASOFT CCMS highly desired.
  • Experience with current versions of standard authoring tools, including Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
  • Professional references and writing examples are expected.
