Finance Manager


Location: Walnut (Onsite)


Cubework offers flexible, on-demand warehouse and commercial spaces. We are a real estate company with 75+ locations nationwide. We are looking to bring on a new team member who has a strong background in finance, accounting and/or business to focus on the overall financial management of our real estate portfolio -- investment, development and property management. This role involves managing tenants, vendors and contractors and managing our leasing and accounting departments. As a Finance Lead you will be instrumental in overseeing the financial health of our extensive asset portfolio. You will play a crucial role in strategizing, planning, and managing financial activities across all business units within the company. With the expansion of the business, we are looking for an independent detailed oriented and collaborative individual that will help a rapidly growing company manage and scale its accounting system, process, and control the U.S. and overseas team members. The finance lead will manage the U.S. and overseas team members and their daily activities works including AR, AP, P&L, Balance sheets, and will oversee all month close activities for all subsidiaries, assets, and financial reviews. The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, and adaptable to changes in the real estate market. You will report directly to the business leadership, including the CCO and CEO.


Responsibilities:

Manages and oversees Accounting staff, including recruiting/hiring, coaching, counseling, disciplining, termination etc.

Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis

Report to CCO and upper management

Facilitate annual budget and business planning processes

Assure corporate management team receive and utilize each facility financial reports

Communicate with managers, staff, and outside vendors

Understanding of consolidated financial reporting and ability to report properly to each unique subsidiary type.

Daily Real Estate Transaction based accounting

Must be able to meet deadlines and ensure time-sensitive information is handled accordingly

Review/oversee daily processing of agent commission payments for accuracy and timeliness

Ensure proper oversight of vendor records and annual 1099 reporting

Review & approve vendor invoices, including coding to appropriate general ledger accounts and ensuring payments are made on a timely basis

Reviewing payroll

Review bank reconciliations

Review of fixed asset record maintenance

Prepares monthly financial statements

Prepares daily and monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, AR and AP schedules, other material accounts

Maintain and prepare accurate, complete, financial statements, management reports

Involve in the company business analytical review, provide financial and budgeting support

Maintains Clean and Accurate accounting schedules

Must be willing to train and develop support local and back-office staff

Complies with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings

Oversee day-to-day accounting, journal entries, and monthly close for a portfolio of 70+ and expanding locations, including consolidation of each location's P&L

Track financial performance by location, including posting daily cash and working closely with site managers to ensure accurate reporting

Maintain fixed assets, real estate/lease accounting, and depreciation schedules

Work closely with outsourced CPA and internal corporate CPA on audit readiness


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

Proven track record of success in senior finance roles, preferably within the real estate or logistics sectors.

Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, and treasury management.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, anticipate future trends, and drive innovative solutions to business challenges.
