An industry leading, multi-billion dollar manufacturing organization is actively seeking a Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for their growing manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for ensuring that all plant safety, health, and manufacturing ergonomics standards are consistently being improved.


POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Plan, coordinate, and implement health and safety procedures and programs
  • Establish written safety standards
  • Coordinate, maintain and recommend work cell improvements in an effort to reduce recordables and improve productivity
  • Plan and coordinate safety training for new, internal, and external employees
  • Evaluate safety and ergonomic viability of new and existing processes
  • A significant amount of time is spent on the production floor monitoring areas and planning and aiding in issue resolution in relation to safety protocol and procedure
  • Ensure appropriate and required safety training is complete and properly documented for all associates
  • Review, evaluate and audit company’s 5S program as it relates to Safety


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
  • Candidate should have at least 3 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive understanding of OSHA regulations
  • Proven ability to train employees on safety protocol
  • Work cell design/redesign to improve/eliminate recordables
