Chartwells K12 is a leading provider of food and nutrition services to schools across the country. We are seeking a skilled Food Service Associate to join our team at Coopersville Public Schools in Coopersville, MI.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $11.50 per hour for this part-time position. As a Food Service Associate, you will play a vital role in preparing, presenting, and serving food to students and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Weighing and measuring designated ingredients.
  • Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
  • Storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
  • Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Distributing supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience in food service is required.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
