Job Description: ServiceNow Application Architect

Location: Columbus, OH

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Application Architect to manage the technical aspects of our ServiceNow applications. This role involves ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of services while maintaining the technical health of our ServiceNow instances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Management: Ensure client satisfaction, manage technical health, monitor performance, and implement improvements. Address technical debt and drive continuous improvement in processes and development.
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and mitigate technical program risks with strategic implementation.
  • Optimization: Contribute to optimization initiatives and technical roadmaps, offering innovative solutions to challenging problems.
  • Process Implementation: Define and oversee steady-state processes for the technical team, ensuring adherence to standards and release criteria.
  • Reporting: Submit reports on application health, performance, backlog, and implementations.

ServiceNow Relationship:

  • Manage the technical relationship with ServiceNow and handle tickets on behalf of the state.

Standards and Architecture:

  • Develop and update ServiceNow architectural and technical development standards and best practices.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure the currency of architectural documentation.
  • Review and approve all proposed architectural changes and customizations.

Environments and Releases:

  • Oversee technical environment setup and code migration activities, including access and instance management.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with ESM Administration and Contractor Leads, serving as the program ambassador and escalating issues to the Project Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Application Architect or similar role.
  • Strong technical expertise in ServiceNow architecture, development standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
