TITLE: Warehouse/Shipping/Receiving Lead II DEPT: Warehouse

HOURS: - 8:00 am- 5 pm


STATEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT PHILOSPHY: As a team member of R & D Computers Inc., you are part of a quality-driven organization which is devoted to customer service and dedicated to the continuing education of its staff. In our environment of delivering health care, employees will show respect for others, demonstrate honesty and integrity, maintain the patient’s right to confidentiality, possess a positive and courteous attitude and take the initiative to go above and beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moderate to physical effort—Lifts, carries, or handles lightweight (1 to 50 lbs.) materials or equipment for about half of the day. Very occasional physical effort requiring assistance with heavy-weight objects (50- 200 lbs.). Warehouse work requires close visual effort and concentration for more than half of the day. An employee works in reaching or strained positions for less than half of the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Working environment is that of a clean warehouse with frequent handling of electronic items and accessories that requires care in handling, packing and recording item specific information. This job requires organization and the ability to plan and provide self-management. Must possess the ability to understand, communicate with vendors and co-workers through both verbal and electronic communication. You will have multiple computer tasks rangingfrom simple day-to-day tasks to complicated logistics tasks to perform. You must use good judgment in prioritizingthe daily task as well as high priority issues that need to be resolved quickly.

DEFINITION: This position entails the day to day implementation in shipping, receiving, stocking of items received, general warehouse organization and all paper work associated with logistic functions. This includes ordering of supplies, vendor management, janitorial duties, cleaning of customer equipment and inventory of toners and service parts. This individual must be capable of making decisions regarding the urgency and/or seriousness of tasks and provide escalation to the correct individual or individuals.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (CONTACT WITH OTHERS‑‑EFFECTOF ERROR):

1. Promotes teamwork and empowers individuals to meet their potential.

2. Project a positive, professional image.

3. Collaborates with other members of R & D Computers to solve problems and improve the operation of the logistics department.

4. Maintains the high standards for quality paperwork and software training for Connectwise and other logistic software’s as needed.

5. Receives inventory from multiple sources and places these items in the appropriate area in the warehouse.

6. Pulls inventory for sales orders for deliver and/or shipment.

7. Fills out all pick lists, packing slips and sales orders information required.

8. Logs and manages shipping and receiving information as well as depotservice items into the appropriate areas.

9. Maintains vendor relationships, pricing, updates and or ETA’s on new product releases.

10. Develops strategic ideas for streamlining the functions of the warehouse in order to manage cost reductions throughout our vendors

11. Administers and overseesthe inventory thru it life cycle from receiving to shipment and ensures thatthe proper paper work is completed for keeping the inventory counts correct.

12. Performs standard janitorial functions including the removal of trash and general cleaning and housekeeping of the warehouse and common areas.

13. Performs pick up and deliver of parts from vendors.

14. Occasionally performs deliveries to field service personnel.

15. Provides assistance to support personnel for palletizing of empty return toners.

16. Manages, tracks and returns defective toners for credit from vendors.

17. Facilitates and tracks RMA’s.

18. Cleans and prepares customer equipment for return.

MENTAL DEMANDS: Must be thorough in gathering and recording information for receiving, shipping, RMA and all other paper work. Must be able to manage time andprioritize their schedule and handle stressful situations with professionalism.Use discretion and good judgment in decision making. Work involves a variety of problems that require nteraction with co-workers in stressful situations. Involves independent judgment to determine variations from standard procedures and plan other actions to be taken where appropriate and escalation to the correct person when needed.

SUPERVISION: Received: Work receives minimal to moderate review according to the task or project.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION‑‑EXPERIENCE):

1. Neat, pleasant demeanor, confident personality.

2. Organized, accurate, and good knowledge of English grammar and spelling.

3. Emotionally mature and stable.

4. Ability to create procedural documentation.

5. Familiarity with general warehouse operation is required.

6. Familiar with Windows Office products.

7. Valid Georgia drivers license required.

8. Dependable transportation required

9. The position requires the physical ability to stand for long periods of time, walk for periods of time, climb warehouse ladders, squat, bend and retrieve items from ground level, reach overhead items, and safely carry items less than 25 pounds.

10. Requires strong customer service orientation, proven ability to pay attention to details, proven dependability, promptness, and a solid attendance history.

11. Requires general knowledge of the business environment.
