Purpose: Eddie Bauer is looking for an Email Developer with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) experience to join our team This is a fast-paced role responsible for coding, building, testing and deploying email campaigns.

Core Position Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on email development within Salesforce Marketing Cloud including coding dynamic, personalized emails in HTML, setting up and editing multiple campaigns within a deployment, refining audience segmentation and conducting comprehensive pre-deployment checks within a defined schedule.
  • Utilize HTML/CSS and email marketing best practices to create and code email campaigns
  • Develop/improve responsive email templates and existing campaigns
  • Apply the best practices in email development, email compliance regulations, and accessibility
  • Ensure identical rendering across browsers, ESPs, and devices
  • Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, and other performance issues
  • Proactively work with teammates to improve processes and work methods for greater efficiency, output quality and minimize error rate
  • Develop comprehensive documentation of internal processes and standards for marketing campaign development, quality assurance, deployment and monitoring.
  • Utilize knowledge and research of current email best practices to make suggestions in regard to design, layout, messaging and deliverability; propose test concepts and ideas for improvement
  • Provide focused training as necessary to digital marketing team members on the campaign production process and Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Assist with reporting email KPIs
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as an Email Developer with Salesforce Marketing Cloud specific experience required;
  • Experience with HTML and CSS; table-based layouts & mobile responsive coding experience is a must;
  • Technical understanding of platform-specific scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript, RPL, etc.) and/or JavaScript is a plus;
  • Testing and QA of email in multiple browsers, clients and ISPs;
  • Extensive experience with email testing tools
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly;
  • Knowledge of email construction and best practices;
  • Expertise in dynamic content and personalization
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible to shifting strategies and priorities
  • Travel may be required, based on business needs.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level



The salary range for this position is $67,725 to $75,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
