Position Overview:

The Commercial Lines Manager oversees the Producer Unit, Select, and Tech Teams, ensuring the effective sales, service, and retention of client policies. This role involves providing technical expertise, supporting account management, and fostering strong relationships with both internal teams and clients. They will drive growth, maintain best-in-class service standards, and work closely with the management team to meet retention and business development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Management & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff, setting priorities, managing performance, and ensuring the team meets sales, retention, and service goals.
  • Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Provide hands-on support and training to enhance team success.
  • Foster a sales-driven team culture and encourage cross-selling and account growth.

Workflow & Process Management:

  • Track team activities and ensure service standards are met.
  • Monitor reports on policy renewals, invoicing, and team workload.
  • Develop and implement workflow procedures, conduct quality audits, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards and reduce errors or omissions.

Problem Resolution:

  • Proactively resolve client, insurer, and team service issues.
  • Assist with escalated claims and coverage concerns.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build strong internal and external relationships with clients, insurers, and team members.
  • Act as a liaison, offering technical support and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Support Rue's risk management model by identifying and addressing client risks.

Company Collaboration & Growth:

  • Support company goals, strategy, and growth targets.
  • Participate in management meetings, providing updates on department progress.
  • Contribute to account growth, program development, and team education.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance expertise.
