Construction & Development Firm Seeking Senior Commercial Estimator

DFW Developer providing construction services for recreational and commercial projects that have a special focus on landscape architecture. This firm operates in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth creating a significant and lasting footprint through building high-quality parks, bridges, infrastructure, and recreation centers upon which become the framework for active communities.


We are looking for a candidate who has experience estimating commercial construction projects for a commercial general contractor in Dallas. Estimating experience with landscape architecture projects is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Bid Strategy Development: Attend bid meetings and collaborate with project teams to create effective bid strategies.
  • Execute bid strategies to enhance our competitive edge.
  • Cost Analysis: Prepare comprehensive and timely cost analyses for construction projects.
  • Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and requirements to understand project scope.
  • Budget and Cost Estimation: Analyze project proposals to create accurate budget and cost estimates.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids and quotes.
  • Historical Cost Data Management:Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
  • Provide ongoing input on project budgets and cost control throughout project lifecycles.


Qualifications:

  • *Experience: Minimum of 8 years of estimating experience in the construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or a related field of study.
  • Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
