Position Overview:

The MSP Project Technician is responsible for collaborating with the MSP Project Manager, engineer, and network operations to implement I.T. services for clients and assist with the transition of clients to the help desk and field teams. This position will offer support to clients through the ConnectWise ticket system and remote management utility.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Remote and onsite configuration and installation for new and existing clients:

  • PC endpoint protection tools including anti-virus, vulnerability scanning, EDR/MDR, multi factor authentication
  • Office 365 users, licensing, mailboxes, email filtering with Proofpoint
  • On-premise and Azure ActiveDirectory user accounts

Educate and support client during and after initial implementation of tools:

  • Assist end users with how to use applications such as multi-factor authentication, Office 365 email, and email quarantine with Proofpoint
  • Remote and onsite support of end user computers (Windows and Mac)
  • Develop user-friendly guides and documentation for clients.
  • Address client queries and provide detailed explanations of technical processes.

Document related to the project, including but not limited to:

  • Administrative credentials for ActiveDirectory, computers, email solutions, printing devices
  • Internet service providers, network devices and networks, servers, file shares

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Regularly communicate project status and issues to the MSP Project Manager.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through professional and courteous interactions.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Project+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, etc.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Windows operations systems (7,10,11)
  • Strong knowledge of ActiveDirectory, Azure ActiveDirectory, and Office 365
  • Entry level knowledge of networking and networking devices Cisco, Meraki, HPE, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders effectively
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to MSP
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining control of branch operations and customer service.
