About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technician to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a similar medical setting, with a focus on surgical technology.
  • Basic analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods, with occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
