A recognized regional leader within the Civil Engineering & Architecture/Planning market with projects including Landscape Architecture, Planning & Land Surveys.


Location: Laurel, Maryland, MD


The Role & Responsibilities

As the Senior Survey CAD Technician, you will be responsible for the undertaking surveying for preparation of topographic, land, boundary, final and other types of surveys for projects in the local region.


Most project types will be across Land Development, including but not limited to, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys and boundary surveys.


  • Undertake computations for boundary surveys, field location analyses as well as recording data and information to determine property lines.
  • Review and check record plats for accuracy prior to submittal.
  • Perform complex calculations for traverse, boundary surveys, record plats, construction stake out and horizontal controls.
  • Organize and maintain paper and digital records and surveys.
  • Prepare construction staking data for field crews, utilising construction plan sets.
  • Undertake the drafting of final house location surveys from survey crew field notes and personal field measurements of building improvements.


Requirements\Qualifications

  • Educated with a High School Diploma.
  • Demonstrable experience of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys and boundary surveys.
  • Knowledge of construction stakeout and cut sheets.
  • Proficient using industry software applications including MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson IntelliCAD.
