Purchasing Estimator Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for a multi-faceted hybrid role focused

on procurement, purchasing, and estimating. This individual will play a critical role in our

operations by overseeing procurement processes and estimating project costs. Responsibilities

include sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and

maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with our

internal team and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and accurate project

quotations. Your expertise will contribute to project success, maintaining our commitment to

quality, client satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.


Job Scope

Purchasing/Procurement:

  • Develop, implement, and execute strategic procurement strategies to meet company

material needs

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and manage supplier performance to optimize

delivery times and minimize costs.

  • Cultivate and secure new vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and pricing

while maintaining project success.

  • Make necessary purchases for jobs, facilities, and offices.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Director of Production to limit overages

and ensure sufficient materials for uninterrupted workflow.

  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost

savings and new materials.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business

objectives, including inventory management and bulk ordering.

  • Generate Purchase Orders and assist the Receiving Department and Accounts Payable

with invoice reconciliation.

  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable/Receivable regarding vendor and client payments.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card transactions.
  • Manage driver schedules to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Cultivate relationships with overseas factories for project pricing.
  • Partner closely with internal teams (Fabrication & Creative) to ensure project success

(timeliness, budgets, finishes, etc.).

  • Stay updated on industry trends, vendor performance, and market developments to

inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

Estimating:

  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to provide accurate cost

estimates for potential and upcoming projects.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Creative, Engineering, and Production teams to understand

project scope and develop precise material and labor estimates.

  • Utilize internal and industry historical data to ensure competitiveness and profitability in

bids.

  • Prepare and submit estimates promptly.

SALARY RANGE - $75K - $90K base/year plus benefits
