Position Summary:


Reporting to the SVP, Sales & Marketing, the Head of Marketing will lead a team of direct reports responsible for Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Events/Communications across Consumer (B2C) channels of distribution within North America.


The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s Marketing strategy across a variety of Brands and Product Categories. As a key leader of the regional marketing organization, you and your team will work closely with all functions within the regional and global (HQ) organization to best position current and future products within Consumer (B2C) channels of distribution. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit; is a strategic thinker; has a high level of energy; is highly organized; contributes from a strategic and tactical perspective; and has a demonstrated history of success building and leading teams within the Consumer Goods, Consumer Electronics and/or Home Appliance Industries.


Required Skills:


  • Direct & Cross-Functional Team Leadership – Work to inspire the Marketing team and partner with Sales and Channel partners to best position your brand, category and portfolio vision. Leverage a consumer-centric mindset and insights driven plans to best position the company to achieve KPIs and revenue goals.


  • Short & Long-term Strategic Plans – Develop a comprehensive GTM strategy that will drive demand, grow market share, and increase brand awareness. The Head of Marketing must define and deliver on plans that are built on insights, data, analytics, and a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.


  • Brand Management / Trade Marketing – Define the Integrated Marketing Strategy and partner with your team to implement best-practices across all consumer touch points. Work cross-functionally to influence brand guidelines throughout product life-cycles. Oversee 360° Toolkit development to best position products and partner with Trade Marketing to support NPI, pricing, packaging, campaign/promotional activities, omni-channel strategies, merchandising, and competitive analysis.


  • Marketing Services & Collateral Development – Oversee team members and third-party agencies responsible for the development and production of required product, channel, and marketing collateral. This involves defining messaging strategies and graphic requirements that are consistent with company brand positioning/policies.


  • Public Relations & Advertising – Oversee team members in the development and execution of plans that involve message platform development, creative, production, and media (print & digital) planning/management, editorial outreach and publicity events. This includes annual/periodic plan development, campaign planning/execution, budgeting and third-party agency management.


  • Digital Program Management – Partner with and lead the Digital Marketing team in the development and execution of plans that involve Paid Media, Organic Media, Channel Syndication, Website and Landing Page planning/support, Email/SMS Marketing, and Analytics.


  • Ecommerce / Retail.com Program Management – Partner with the Ecommerce and Retail.com teams in the development of web communication strategies that are intuitive, compelling, and accomplish the dual goals of brand building via digital marketing and eCommerce optimization.


  • Consumer Relations - Partner with the Customer Service team to ensure warranty programs and consumer touchpoints bolster brands equity.


  • Fiscal Accountability – Responsible for departmental budgets. This involves annual planning, monthly forecasting and variance analysis.


Preferred Skills:


  • Over 10 years of Marketing experience with a strong focus on Integrated Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Brand Management within the CE, HA, or CPG Industries.


  • Previous experience representing the N.A. region within a Global Organization.


  • Ability to quickly acclimate into the business and become an expert across each product category when it comes to competition, consumers, shopper behaviors, and market trends.


  • Individual must possess strong leadership skills (direct & cross-functional) - ability to motivate and influence others - lead groups in the completion of various assignments/tasks.


  • Must be well versed in digital marketing techniques and strategies (web, search, email marketing, social media, visual/interactive media, email/SMS marketing, digital metrics/analytics, SEO, CRM, and conversion optimization.


  • Must be well versed in traditional retail (brick-and-mortar) marketing GTM strategies with the ability to add value when partnering with Sales and managing Trade/Channel Marketing.


  • Must be a highly driven, hands-on, self-starter who thrives in a dynamic work environment.


  • Must be a strong communicator, have excellent written, presentation, oral communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with various internal and external audiences.


  • Experience working with outside agencies (i.e. public relations, advertising, promotion, lead generation, research, training, communications, exhibit) during project development and execution.


  • Ability to develop, monitor and manage pertinent program KPIs.


  • A record of accomplishment that shows the ability to manage budgets in a fiscally responsible manner.


  • Experience across the full marketing mix, inclusive of developing marketing plans, 360 campaigns and delivery of ‘best in class marketing’ within a digital world.


  • Ideal candidate has proven leadership skills to create strong internal/external relationships, while being a team player.


  • An ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams, both functionally and geographically is critical.


  • Organizational savvy to understand how to get things done in a matrix organization.
