Reports to: Inside Sales Manager

Location: Houston, TX (On-Site, no remote work available)


Position Summary:

The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The selected individual facilitates sales by processing and tracking orders, managing customer data, researching production information, generating reports as requested, and distributing sales documents. The individual will assist with customer queries, complaints, special orders, or returns via email or telephone.


Task/Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receives, processes, and monitors orders, expediting the order when necessary.
  • Document customer information, communications and other pertinent information in Customer Relationship systems (CRM).
  • Assist sales department with customer service and related issues
  • Coordinate sales visitors’ appointments and arrivals
  • Research production status as requested
  • Research and document customer care issues, work with customer care team and inside sales associate until resolution.
  • Support sales staff by working with marketing team in preparing correspondence, furnishing customer requests for samples and marketing materials.
  • Research sales order errors and irregularities.
  • Prepare and distribute sales reports and related documents.
  • Assist sales in quote entry and preparation
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong Oral Expression and Comprehension - Communicating with people inside and outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Personal Development and a willingness to learn new tasks and skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma), 2-year degree preferred
  • 2+ years previous administrative or clerical experience
