We are seeking a dedicated and highly professional Tour Manager Assistant for our Fall and Christmas 2024 Tour. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our tour, supporting both performers and production teams.
Responsibilities:
- Ground Transportation: Drive a passenger van to transport performers between venues, hotels, and airports.
- Performer Assistance: Assist with hotel check-ins, ensuring performers are comfortable and settled.
- Event Day Support: Participate in load-in and load-out processes, assist with staging, wardrobe, catering, and provide quick change assistance. Be ready to jump in wherever needed on concert event days.
- Leadership & Problem Solving: Maintain a positive leadership attitude at all times. Demonstrate quick and efficient problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
- Performer Welcome: Greet performers upon arrival at venues, guide them to their greenroom space, and provide any additional assistance as needed.
- House & Usher Management: For select dates where we manage our own house, oversee house management and usher coordination.
- Work Advance with Theatres to obtain any necessary production information
- Manage and Keep Up to Date all production materials: setlist, cue sheets, production book, stage plot, rider
Important Travel Requirements:
- Day-Before Arrivals: Must arrive the day before each concert event. Flights home will always be scheduled for the day following the event.
Qualifications:
- Management Experience: Previous experience in management roles is required.
- Physical Labor: Ability to handle long hours and physical tasks, including moving wardrobe and road cases.
- Professionalism: Commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards of professionalism. This is a clean, substance-free environment—no drinking, drugs, smoking, or vaping.
Personality & Demeanor:
- Calming Presence: Must possess a calming demeanor that helps maintain composure in high-stress environments. This role requires someone who can manage the fast pace and unpredictability of live events while keeping a steady and reassuring attitude for the team and performers. The ideal candidate will be able to diffuse tension, handle emergencies with grace, and create a positive atmosphere even under pressure.
