Product Specialist

Introduction:
We are a Privately-Owned Solar Engineering Services firm, focusing exclusively on the development of industry-leading solutions. We develop, design, and sell new products that are highly efficient and custom installation solutions that enhance the overall adoption of solar. Our dynamic and growing company needs a motivated Product Specialist, to provide support to our internal teams as well as our clients. We operate a fast-paced and informal office, which also includes a supportive growth atmosphere. This role is a fundamental role within the organization, as the client facing, technical collaboration and team participation require a unique level of skill and activity management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Be the point person for all activities for our SAT and Carport projects. Manage both timing for engineering design and delivery of product.
- Liaison with the installation business within DCE and Carport provider for contractual scope, schedule and costing.
- Provide direct Project management services for each project to secure designs, timelines of product deliveries and execute are met and executing change order process
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and support, to ensure a unified and effective approach to customer engagement.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, case studies, and other materials to assist in the sales process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide informed insights and recommendations.
- Act as a technical advocate for customers, representing their needs and requirements to internal teams, including product development and engineering.
- Provide training and support to the sales team on technical aspects of products and services. Ensure the sales team is well-equipped to communicate effectively with clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to respond to technical inquiries, RFPs (Request for Proposals), and RFIs (Request for Information). Assist in preparing technical documentation and proposals.
- Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and objectives. Provide technical guidance and solutions tailored to their needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and technical solutions to effectively communicate their value to potential customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering)
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving technical challenges.
- High level of technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Research and analytical capabilities.
- Previous experience in a sales support or pre-sales role is a plus.

- Professional acumen, strong organizational skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
