Job Description

Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can make a tangible impact on people's lives? COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Senior Property Field Claims Adjuster to join our team. This role is field-based within the Fargo/Moorhead, ND area and involves remote work when not conducting field inspections. You will be responsible for managing property claims, providing exceptional customer service, and utilizing innovative technology to enhance the claims process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Claims Investigation: Investigate property claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims.
  • Field Inspections: Conduct physical inspections of damaged property, evaluate damages, and prepare written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.
  • Customer Interaction: Initiate contact with insureds, claimants, and relevant parties to gather information, obtain recorded statements (if necessary), and explain the claims process.
  • Technology Utilization: Use virtual claim handling software and drones for property inspections to provide accurate assessments.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of claims, ensuring accurate records for review and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Typically requires 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience, education, and training. Strong preference for experience as a Property Field Adjuster working for a carrier.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xactimate and other claims estimating software. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalents).
  • Knowledge: Competent understanding of residential and commercial construction techniques. Maintains the appropriate adjuster's licensing as required by the states in which the company operates.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, reach, climb, and crawl to inspect damage. Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders. Ability to work in various weather conditions and potentially extended hours.
  • Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with the ability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Multilingual: Preferred.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Location: Must reside within the Fargo/Moorhead, ND area or be willing to relocate. This is a field position with a remote work component.
  • Field Experience: Onsite Property Adjuster experience required, not just desk adjuster experience. Experience with policy and property claims investigation, preparing estimates, and managing claims from start to finish is strongly preferred.
  • Xactimate: Demonstrated experience with Xactimate.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills are essential.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Drone Experience: Familiarity with using drones for property inspections.
  • Construction Knowledge: Additional construction knowledge is a plus.
