The responsibilities for this position include the following:
Assist in responding to Association member inquiries on state and federal banking laws and regulations.
Assist in maintaining the Association’s members-only website dedicated to compliance and risk management officers at member banks (www.GoToIBA.com), including drafting and adding substantive content to the website on a daily basis.
Assist in supporting the Association’s law department with internal governance tasks and support for the Association’s educational efforts, including the preparation of weekly emails to compliance division members, monthly compliance advisory committee teleconference calls, regional compliance conferences and events, statewide webinars on new laws and regulations, an annual compliance conference, and an annual bank counsel conference.
Assist in supporting the Association’s government relations efforts, including by analyzing and commenting on federal and state regulatory and legislative proposals and developments relating to the banking industry, including the drafting of comment letters, issue papers, and articles.
A modest amount of travel is periodically required, including multiple in-state and sometimes one out-of-state trip each year.
