Learning and Events Delivery Associate

The Learning and Events Delivery Associate is part of the Learning & Development Team, reporting to the Director of Learning & Development. SEFA manages a broad portfolio of virtual and in-person experiences for our members; this role will support the delivery of a portion of that portfolio, spanning both online and live components.
This new role is responsible for:
- Administration, publication and maintenance of self-paced content, virtual sessions, curricula, and user records in our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assisting in the delivery of training and attendee relations at our in-person events.
This role rewards flexibility and versatility, with responsibilities across multiple learning types and a mix of independent and member-facing work.
Responsibilities
Learning Management System
- Respond to inquiries from users and staff related to course delivery, access, and troubleshooting, including exploration and resolution of technical issues.
- Interact with members to train them on administrative responsibilities in the LMS and to collaborate on promoting SEFA’s content and platform.
- Configure and maintain all elements of the LMS, including our learning and development pathways, user data, roles and permissions, course provisioning, system notifications, and integrations.
- Maintain company contact database that governs LMS access.
- Assist with authoring system metadata, e.g., subject areas, tags, descriptions.
- Publish and test internally-developed content.
- Coordinate, program and deliver events that are run through our Learning Management System, such as webinars and online workshops.
- Design, develop, and document processes related to the LMS, e.g., course testing, content lifecycle.
- Run, analyze and format reports on course performance, usage, and user outcomes as requested, particularly in support of Learning & Development dashboards and other organizational analytics.
In-Person Events
- Participate in planning, preparation, and execution of company events, including, but not limited to, organizing/monitoring registration, preparing attendee materials, coordinating travel arrangements, ordering supplies, creative gift ideas, and day-of support.
- Publish event specials and communications to assist in pre-event marketing and generating sales traffic.
- Consolidate and communicate post-event feedback contributing to the overall value of future events and increasing member participation.
- Provide direct support for staff and attendees during company conferences and events.
- Perform other duties related to the delivery of learning and events for SEFA members, as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Business Management, or related field
- 2-3 years of demonstrated LMS administrative experience, concurrent with or in addition to 2-3 years of demonstrated event support experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Specific experience with Meridian strongly preferred, or equivalent experience onboarding to a new LMS
- Familiarity with Cvent or equivalent event platform
- Fast learner, especially with systems and learning administration
- Familiarity with publishing SCORM 1.2 packages preferred, with knowledge of xAPI desirable
- High proficiency/mastery leveraging Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), particularly with Excel for reporting/analytics
- Experience in HTML/CSS desirable, or equivalent experience in a programming or configuration capacity; Javascript programming experience desirable
- Strong oral and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and to manage multiple tasks
- Attentive to detail and well-organized
Travel/Office expectations
- Travel for on-site support of events, approximately 4x/year
- Hybrid work environment, with in-person presence expected 2x/week (Tue-Wed)
