Must-haves

  • 10+ year of working experience in an enterprise company
  • 5+ years of Lead or Managerial experience specifically in Facilities or Property Management, Workplace or Office Management
  • Experience reviewing and taking ownership of corporate leases and contracts
  • Experience working with C Level Executives on a daily basis
  • Experience supporting a corporate office, preferably of 500+ people or more
  • Experience working with landlords/building manager, physical security companies, and power outages
  • Must be comfortable taking on small duties; stocking the supply rooms, scheduling office lunch orders, setting up for presentations, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be able to go onsite 5x per week

Day-to-Day

This position is for our large Software customer who's office is out of Herndon, VA for this role. They will be required to be onsite 5x per week.

On a daily basis this person will be responsible for:

  • Manage personnel that can be global, regional or local area specific
  • Integrates facility management into business process
  • Build and maintain a strong team that will provide 1st class facility services
  • Contribute to enthusiastic, positive work climate that energizes others
  • Provide direction to team members to achieve corporate goals and be prepared to quickly adapt to changing environments
  • Develops and implements facilities strategy within area of responsibility in line with corporate and organizational overall strategy
  • Monitor and measure success as related to assigned KPI's
  • Provide solutions, problem solving and suggestions for improvements related to complex matters within his / her area of responsibility
  • Provide transparency for senior management
  • Understanding of processes and interfaces across organizational boundaries that relate to area of responsibility
  • Represent SAP to customers
  • Oversee budget planning and controls
  • Conduct performance/ salary management, address people matters, hire staff and develop talent

As a people manager, this person is responsible for supporting the success of the direct reports, but the success of all employees within the larger team. They will be helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their goals. They are expected to know about the members of your extended team and share insights with your peer managers. Look for opportunities to coach and recognize employees directly and provide just-in-time feedback so that employees can reflect on input immediately.
