Title: Legal Assistant / Compliance Specialist

Duration: 6-month contract w/ extensions

Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid 3 days in office, flexible on days)

Pay Rate: $26.68/hr


Must-Haves:

  • 2+ years of experience – Relevant experience (product safety and compliance electronics, chemicals, automotive)
  • Experience working with pivot tables, SQL queries and/or data analytical systems
  • Researching experience
  • Ability to sort through complex documentation
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Self-Motivated to learn operations
  • Ability to manage internal and external escalations
  • Bachelor's Degree

Description:

A Fortune 500 company is seeking a bright and motivated individual to provide temporary support to the North America Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, and Compliance (RISC) Legal team. We are looking for someone who can navigate complex product regulations and develop and implement related compliance actions. This position requires partnering with legal and business teams on proposed actions, and coordinating across multiple teams using technology to implement processes and policies to effectuate those actions. You must have strong prior work experience in a professional setting, a positive attitude, and strong organizational skills. The ability to effectively communicate is essential, both verbally and in writing. The role will require that you be self-motivated to learn the operations and will involve both independent and team work in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing. You also need great judgment, a sense of humor, and a desire to learn and be curious.
