WHAT WE NEED:
We are looking for an Associate Strategy & Communications Planner who can see the world from other people’s points of view. You’re an independent thinker with a creative edge, who is curious and passionate about people, brands, marketing, media and more. In this role, you will absorb and expand your knowledge in media, work in a rapidly evolving media discipline.
The Associate Strategy & Communications Planner will work closely with members of the Strategy and Communications Planning team with the development of integrated media strategies and media plans across all channels to support our client campaigns and brands. You will support strategic initiatives through intelligence gathering, research design-analysis, and strategic support materials (e.g. research findings, briefing materials).
Additionally, you will participate in strategy media planning projects for both offline and digital media channels and help deliver first class communications strategies that employ integrated contemporary thinking.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work closely with the Strategy & Communications Planners’ and extended Strategy and Communications team with the development and management of cross-channel media plans
- Assist in development of cross-channel media plans that specify which channels to use to effectively reach the target audience and deliver target KPIs
- Compile and analyze secondary media research; learn to utilize and understand proprietary and syndicated research tools used for media planning and reporting purposes
- Help to liaise between Client Services teams to ensure plans are on schedule and elements are completed
- Support the Strategy & Communications Planning team in crafting media briefs for Client Services and Media Activation teams
- Prepare and update media flowcharts as appropriate
- Attend meetings with media vendor sales representatives to obtain information about their products
- Be an active participant in brainstorming sessions
- Assist with tracking media expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance
- Review industry trades for new sites, innovative and creative ad units and technologies, as well as competitive information
- Keep up to date with the evolving media space and relevant cultural events that may have an impact on campaign strategy and media plans
- Become a subject matter expert on all services offered by Havas Edge
- Other duties as needed that allow for a comprehensive learning experience

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or relevant field of study
- You previously interned or worked in marketing, advertising, or relevant area of expertise
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and Microsoft PowerPoint
- You have strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with experience diving into large datasets and using data to tell a story to internal and external stakeholders
- You are familiar with data tools such as Nielsen AD Intel, AdSphere, Media Analytics, Simmons OneView, Crunchbase, Winmo, Ispot, etc.
