Essential Duties:

  • Responsible to expand US Ocean Cargo volume—both imports and exports.
  • Creating market research and reporting for both US imports and exports.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify target accounts for ocean cargo expansion.
  • Support local branches to increase volume of ocean cargo.
  • Lead generation and qualification.
  • Build market and product knowledge and help to devise a communication plan to ensure that market intelligence is shared with colleagues.

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in marketing, business administration, economics.
  • Experience in product development, planning, marketing, related to ocean cargo.
  • Experience with trade lane management and/or business development.
  • Experience working at ocean carriers is especially welcome.

Skill Sets Required:

  • Strong market search skills.
  • Strong communication skills—must be comfortable speaking with customer directly when required.
  • Strong PC Skills with Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of Datamyne, Piers or similar databases.
