Responsibilities

  • Maintain life cycle costs, track equipment transfers and keep all records for the region.
  • Evaluate & monitor all mobile and fixed equipment.
  • Perform inspections of operating equipment as needed.
  • Manage asset disposal for the region.
  • Organize and coordinate systems to ensure preventative maintenance is done on all equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Monitor all maintenance work activity.
  • Monitor equipment utilization with emphasis on reliability and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program.
  • Continually evaluates maintenance facilities for effectiveness and cost savings.


Qualifications

  • Seven plus years’ experience with heavy equipment and truck maintenance experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral, or diagram form


Preferred Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree preferred
  • Prior experience managing a vehicle or maintenance repair shop is a plus; heavy equipment preferred
